our story
we started as college friends pursuing majors for other career paths. brigit first sparked the idea for fomeno when studying sustainability in the mountains of costa rica. she fell in love with a forget me not flowered shirt and was challenged to try and thrift the t-shirt upon returning home. fomeno was inspired from brigit’s desire to create a platform where you could discover specific, secondhand clothing on just one website instead of hopping between hundreds of online thrift shops. ashlynn and payton immediately jumped on board and soon the three college soul sisters were on the adventure of a lifetime, switching majors, competing in the world's largest sustainable business competition, and starting and growing fomeno to what it is today.
